Buck motorsports park

<p>This past Saturday, June 23, Daddy and His pup went to Buck motorsport park to watch the mud bogs. This is pretty muck a monthly event. The first one is the end of April and the last is the end of September. The next one is July 28th.

This is the first MD bog for Daddy. My last one was in Kingston NH about 25 years ago. I have been wanting to get to one for a while.

At the end of the mud bog is a run for the cash. You got it. Guys get to run from one end to the other to find one of 2 cash prizes. Daddy and I didn't partake this time. But next month one of us is bound to do it. Just not sure I want to be hosed down with cold water.

For the July event we will be meeting some of friends from Cumalot there. I haven't told them there are only porta  potties there, so no bathroom sex. :-(  but who knows what they may get in the pits. :-)

Thursday  night, I was going through alot of my pictures I've taken over these last few years to find some awesome nature pictures  I've taken. ran out of time and only put about 150 in the frame.

Friday at work, I was watching the picture scroll by and realized how much I miss doing pictures  of waterfalls, lakes, sunsets, sunrises. I so want to do more.

I just put in a memory card in the camera so I can get some pictures today. With reviewing the pictures stored on the card, I am brought back to this past MALS/b contest at CLAP.

While I do not know what transpired during the interview, from the rest of the contest, it is my opinion that he is, by far, the worst option to have won. I know, I will never refer to him with SIR, Sir, or even sir. If the situation calls for a title in reference to him, it will  be LeatherSir 2013, Edward.

During a speach by the current International  LeatherSir. I wanted to stand up and yell WHAT THE FUCK! He was talking about how only the Mr Drummers and LeatherSirs were his leather brothers. I was livid.

As a Leatherman,  I never think of a title as anything other than an award by the community to a specific individual.  I do not  will not, raise that individual on a pedistal. I will help them with their soapbox to bring attention to the cause they are championing.

I have run across many titleholders who think they are on a pedistal. And I see them as part of the reason that the leather community has gone "underground". We are tired of the pretentious, self centered, leather queens, who want to feel like a celebrity.

I know many titlehlders. Being a titleholder has a tendency to change people. Some of my good friends have become a far better person during their title year. I have also seen the reverse happen where a descent person turns into a diva.

To me, competing for a contest is not about the sash and gifts. Its about promoting a worth while cause you believe in.

Now time for breakfast and later taking some pictures. There are some fields and streams near by that I've  been meaning to take pictures of.

I have no significant issue with the so called 1%. They worked hard to get where they are. Well most of them anyway. Why shouldn't someone with a degree make more money than one without a degree? I have an associates degree and make more than others here.

I do have an issue with those who prey on the uninformed. The ones who do not understand how mortgages work. But they also need to take responsability for their actions.

hump day fun

I was looking at various auto greases out there, but none seemed to be healthy of, um, consumed. Not that I want to eat it, but if you are nibbling on someone who has it on them, you may get it in your mouth. And I am sure it will taste, nasty. So I am concocting a recipe that may help with this.

My experiment consists of

•  1 small Crisco can
•  1 Packet of whip it.
•  food dye sample kit(red, blue, green yellow)

I put the Crisco in a mixing bowl and used an electric beater to mix it up the whip it*. I put in all the red dye I had hoping to come up with a bright red colored grease. No such luck. It was a great shade of red, but nowhere near what I wanted. So I added some blue hoping that it would darken the red a bit by turning it a bit purple. This however did not happen. What I got was a great shade of grey.

The consistency seemed to be losing its viscosity, so I put it in the fridge to cool it down a bit. And to let the whip it set a bit.

I scooped some of the grey out and put it into a zip lock sandwich bag. Then I slowly added some green to see if I could get a better grey. I ended up putting the entire green in. big mistake. I now have greenish grey lube. I returned the lube to the Crisco can. It’s a good thing I separated some of the Crisco at the red and grey stage. I must have added a lot of air because the finished batch was more than the can could handle. But no matter.

Tomorrow I will check its viscosity and how much the dye will leach into the skin. hopefully not much.

* Whip it is a stabilizer for whipping cream. I am hopeful that this will help keep the Crisco more stable when in contact with skin.

I did get to play in the basement last week with some clay last week. I was testing out my time lapse circuit for it.

I had an homeless depot bucket and bought 10 Lbs of red clay from Micheal's. Wasn't red like Georgia mud, but... check ACMoore.com, Micheals.com, or Joanns for a coupon. I had a 50% coupon and paid $5 for it. I had planned on putting the clay in about 2 inches of water. but the clay was quite soft to begin with. but the water definitively helps.
